Each month we choose one of our students who has shown great promise and we sit down with them to learn about how they got started with photography and how they’ve found the art so far.
The winner also gets a £50 voucher that can be redeemed against any of our courses.
This month we spoke with Andy Charles about their journey.
I first took an interest in photography about 18 months ago. I was determined to capture the Northern Lights whilst in Iceland… unfortunately they decided to be uncooperative!
My passion and knowledge has grown so much in that short time span partly down to Photoion and partly down to my own stubborn nature.
I’ve discovered a love for street photography and uncovering the little stories that go on around us each day but my first love will always be wildlife photography.
As for my final goals… I don’t have a clue. It would be great to have an image I feel confident enough about to enter into the wildlife photographer of the year competition but that’s a long way off.
