Each month we hold a competition with a new theme that gives you the chance to win £100 in Photoion course vouchers.

This month’s topic will be Patterns.

Here are a few tips to get you started:

  • Colour: Experimenting with the colour of the patterns can produce excellent images. Try using different shades of the same colour, or using contrasting colours.
  • Repetition and Contrast: Patterns tend to be uniform and repetitive, so breaking from this can be a great way to draw attention to an area of the image. By using contrasting shapes, lines, sizes, colours, or placement, you can immediately draw the viewer’s eyes to what you want.

How to Enter

To enter the Photoion Photo of the Month competition, and have a chance at winning the £100 in Photoion course vouchers, send us your best picture using the form below. Images should be in JPEG format, and no smaller than 1000 pixels on their widest side. Only one entry per person is accepted.

Entry opens on Wednesday 1st August 2018 and closes Friday 23:59 31st August 2018.

The winning entry will be selected by a panel of Photoion Photography School judges. Judges decision is final.
