“My journey started in early November 2016 when I was looking for a food photography course so that I can kick-start my food blog. As it transpires, I was advised to go on the beginners’ course first to get a basic understanding of photography. Armed with my 5 year old entry level DLSR, I turned up for the course not knowing what to expect. What I certainly didn’t expect was this would just be the beginning of my photography journey, and I’ve not looked back since.

Ion imparted not just his photography knowledge, but his enthusiasm and passion for it rubs off on you. His ethos that one does not have to own the most expensive gear to create certainly holds true for me. The key is light and how you use it. I’ve learned to see beyond the obvious and see the beauty hidden behind the ordinary.

Exotic bird – wildlife photography
I started wanting to master food photography but now I love all genres. I’m out most days, camera in tow, ready to capture the unexpected in a moment in time.

My journey has just begun. There is still so much to learn and I can’t wait to discover what is to come. In the meantime, it’s practice, practice, practice.”
